Latest Express Entry draws invites 4,500 candidates for permanent residence
The 14 October express entry draw saw Canadian government issuing 4,500 invitations to apply (ITA) for the permanent residence to the candidates with a comprehensive ranking system score (CRS) 471.
The CRS requirement has been the constant since the last express entry draw held on September 30. Lately, IRCC has been holding draws of inviting 4,200 candidates since 2 September. This is by far the largest draw size held since February 2020.
The IRCC applies tie-break rules to rank all the applicants in an unbiased manner. This time, the tie-breaking rule date and time was September 1, 2020, at 12:11:23 UTC. This means that all the candidates with CRS score 471 and above who have entered their profiles in the Express Entry pool before the said date and time were invited to apply in the current draw.
The new express entry draw brings the total number of ITAs issued in 2020 to 82,850. As the world standstill, the Canadian government surely knows how to reach the target set for March Federal High Skilled immigration. Additionally, the Canadian government is set to launch the new immigration levels by the end of the month. There will be a new target set for all the immigration class for the years 2021-2023.
